Objectives and History
Eurisol, the UK Mineral Wool Association, was formed in 1962 to represent the interests of rock and glass mineral wool manufacturers. It provides an authoritative source of independent information and advice on Mineral Wool and of promoting the benefits of mineral wool products in achieving improved standards of thermal and acoustic insulation and fire protection in building, industry and commerce.
Improving levels of insulation are also central to initiatives aimed at alleviating fuel poverty, and ensuring that everybody enjoys a decent home. Eurisol has developed close relationships with central government, local authorities, and industry bodies involved in the effective use of insulation materials and energy saving strategies.
Through member company experts Eurisol contributes to a wide range of consultation exercises, including those involving building regulations, labeling and energy efficiency grants and schemes.
